We look forward and forget to look back.

History is and always has been the least learnt science that is human nature. The problem of this will be different this time ,we are right ,we are smarter than before. Also that hope is always present giving us the belief that this all is well.

Finally, Hermes gives this woman a name: Pandora -- "All-gifted" -- "because all the Olympians gave her a gift" (81).[4] In this retelling of her story, Pandora's deceitful feminine nature becomes the least of mankind's worries. For she brings with her a jar[5] containing[6] "burdensome toil and sickness that brings death to men" (91-2), diseases (102) and "a myriad other pains" (100). Prometheus had (fearing further reprisals) warned his brother Epimetheus not to accept any gifts from Zeus. But Epimetheus did not listen; he accepted Pandora, who promptly scattered the contents of her jar. As a result, Hesiod tells us, "the earth and sea are full of evils" (101). One item, however, did not escape the jar (96-9), hope:
Only Hope was left within her unbreakable house, she remained under the lip of the jar, and did notfly away. Before [she could], Pandora replaced thelid of the jar. This was the will of aegis-bearing
The sad part of hope is that feeling that hope gives us a false sense of the right thing will happen. That if we wait alittle longer all will fall into place. We will have our just reward but as we know this does not happen and many times hope leaves us empty and without the reward that was sure to be ours.
So hope is not this wonderful thing ,this last thing that made all the difference in the world is has a dark side.
